Branching is here! 🎉
The form builders—for both the Main Form and role forms—now allow you to display a question to users based on the answer to a previous question. Sometimes called a “conditional question”, this permits you to set up your forms to collect information only if it is pertinent.

Call admins now have the ability to restrict which types of files are allowed for uploads.
The new setting is in two places: the form builder and the Publishing Module. In both cases it is a safelist (as opposed to a blocklist) meaning authors are only allowed to upload files with extensions you specify. Or put another way, authors are prohibited from uploading files not in the list.

Call admins can now use profile information for default answers in role forms!
Previously, the only two questions in a role form that could be auto-filled with information from a user’s profile were name and organization—both of which were hard-coded into the form. And with any other question you could only define static text for a default answer.

For example, you could set a 200-word limit for a bio field or a 75-character limit for a title field. Any limit, however, was purely informational, which meant an author could exceed it and still submit the proposal. (The system would highlight the answer for call admins and reviewers, though, so they could easily tell if the author went over the limit.)
Now, if you set a limit on a text field, you can tell the system what to do if the answer exceeds the limit:

ProposalSpace has always allowed call admins to customize the terminology used for roles people play in a proposal. You can configure your call to use whatever terms you want… “speakers”, “presenters”, “authors”, “collaborators”, etc.
Now, you can also configure what information you collect about each of those people. Continue reading Custom Role Forms
Our drag-and-drop form builder now allows multiple checkbox items in a single form element.
